Veni, vidi, vici
Two thousand and sixty five years ago Julius Caesar told the Roman Senate Veni, vidi, vici “I came; I saw; I conquered” after he had achieved a quick victory in his short war against Pharnaces II of Pontus at the Battle of Zela.
This phrase today is used to refer to a swift, conclusive victory.
Whilst we didn’t fight against Pharnaces II of Pontus we certainly had our fair share of competitors out there whom we valiantly shrugged off to establish a foothold and then a presence in the following cities: Hong Kong, Sydney and Singapore – and now – we’re hitting up New York City!
So, should we feel proud?
Yes. We should. Competition within the food delivery space in these cities, just like in NYC, is red-hot.
Each city and country tells a different story but what is for certain is that the experience attained in these three metropolitan centres taught us everything we needed to know before we set sail to conquer our own battles in the greatest of all of the great cities: NYC!
